Does Paiso move money?
No. Paiso only records who paid what. Settle up however you like, such as UPI, cash or a bank transfer, then record it in the app.
How do shared groups work?
Create a group and add friends by name, email or phone, or from your contacts. Everyone who joins sees the same expenses and balances, and changes sync to every member within seconds.
How do I invite someone to a group?
Open the group, tap the ⋯ menu and choose Share invite link or Group QR code. You can also invite people by text from your own number or by email. When they open the link with Paiso installed, they join the group.
I installed Paiso from an invite link. How do I join the group?
Open the invite link again, or go to Groups, tap the ticket button (Join with code) and paste the link or the code shown on the invite page.
How does Paiso know which of my contacts are on Paiso?
The app compares one-way SHA-256 hashes of your contacts' email addresses with registered accounts. Your address book never leaves your phone, and the hashes aren't stored.
How do the “Split it?” prompts work?
In Paiso go to Settings → Smart split and follow the four steps. A Shortcuts automation runs when you pay with Apple Pay and asks if you want to split it. You can switch the prompts off at any time.
Which currencies does Paiso support?
All of them. Each expense keeps its own currency, and totals are shown in your home currency at today's rate. You can set a default currency so you don't pick it every time.
How is loan interest calculated?
Interest is worked out daily from the start date. For money you lend to friends, simple interest applies only to the principal still owed, and compound interest adds interest to the balance each period; repayments clear interest first, then principal. In Money Coach you can choose Reducing balance, Simple (flat) or Compound to match your loan. Flat-rate loans charge interest on the original amount.
What happens to the loan documents I scan?
They're analysed on your iPhone to read details like the amount, interest rate, EMI and payment date, then discarded. Loan documents are never stored or uploaded.
Is receipt scanning private?
Yes. Receipts are read entirely on your iPhone and photos are never uploaded.
Is Paiso free?
Yes. Every feature is free, with no ads and no daily limits.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete account. Your account and personal cloud data are erased immediately.
